GCash and Maya wallet limits: how much you can hold, receive and send, and what that means for casino withdrawals
GCash limits from 1 October 2026 and Maya account limits, from their own help pages, and why a casino payout can exceed a basic wallet's limit.
On this page (5 sections)
Before you deposit at an online casino with an e-wallet, or ask for a withdrawal to one, it helps to know how much the wallet itself will let you hold, receive and send. Those limits are set by GCash and Maya, not by the casino, and a payout that is bigger than your wallet's remaining limit is a common reason money does not arrive the way you expect. This page sets out the limits as each company publishes them and what follows from them for a casino player. You must be 21+ to gamble.
Short answer. GCash changed its limits on 1 October 2026. A fully verified adult can now hold up to PHP 1,000,000 and receive up to PHP 1,000,000 a month; an unverified Basic profile is capped at PHP 10,000 in the wallet and PHP 5,000 a month in or out. Maya lists PHP 50,000 a month for Basic and PHP 100,000 for Upgraded accounts. Verify your wallet before you play, and check your own limits in the app; both companies say the figures can change.
Whether GCash or Maya works at a given casino's cashier is a separate question that these limits do not answer. The August 2025 Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) order made both wallets remove their in-app gambling links; see GCash and Maya at online casinos for what changed and which PAGCOR-listed brands mention them.
GCash limits from 1 October 2026
GCash's help article What are my GCash wallet and transaction limits? says the limits were "updated effective October 1, 2026" and that you need the latest app version to get them. Its table, as we read it on 31 October 2026:
| GCash profile | Wallet limit (at any time) | Incoming per month | Outgoing per month | Outgoing per day |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic (not verified) | PHP 10,000 | PHP 5,000 | PHP 5,000 | No limit |
| Fully Verified (adults) | PHP 1,000,000 | PHP 1,000,000 | PHP 1,000,000 | PHP 500,000 |
| 5M (eligible, subject to approval) | PHP 5,000,000 | PHP 5,000,000 | PHP 5,000,000 | PHP 1,000,000 |
| 10M (eligible, subject to approval) | PHP 10,000,000 | PHP 10,000,000 | PHP 10,000,000 | PHP 1,000,000 |
GCash's table also has a GCash Jr. column for verified users aged 7 to 17; we leave it out because no one under 21 may gamble (who can play). The 5M and 10M profiles are for customers with active GSave, GFunds, GBonds, GStocks or GCrypto (or, for 5M, users of accredited GCash partners), and GCash says both are subject to approval.
Other rules on the same page that matter here:
- Limits reset on the 1st of the month. Until then, or until you upgrade, GCash says you "can't use certain services" once you hit a limit.
- Several numbers do not add up to a bigger limit. An adult can have up to five GCash accounts under one customer profile. GCash says they share the highest limit among them but are "not combined to create a higher total limit": once one number has received PHP 1,000,000 in a month, the other linked numbers cannot receive more until the reset.
- GCash can change or pause limits "to follow BSP regulations and anti-money laundering mandates".
To raise a Basic profile, GCash's companion article How to increase or decrease my GCash wallet and transaction limits? says an adult gets the PHP 1,000,000 limit by becoming fully verified, and that moving back down to a lower limit is not available.
Maya account limits
Maya's Account Limits page, read on 31 October 2026, has no "effective" date and notes that the monthly limit "is subject to change". Its figures for the transactions a casino player is most likely to use:
| Maya account | Wallet balance, monthly | Bank transfer out (InstaPay) | Receiving from banks (InstaPay) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | PHP 50,000 | Not listed for Basic | PHP 50,000 per transaction |
| Upgraded | PHP 100,000 | PHP 50,000 a day, PHP 100,000 a month, 40 times a month | PHP 50,000 per transaction |
| Super Users | PHP 500,000 | PHP 50,000 a day, PHP 500,000 a month, 80 times a month | PHP 50,000 per transaction |
| Ultimate Users | PHP 5,000,000 | PHP 50,000 a day, PHP 5,000,000 a month | PHP 50,000 per transaction |
The key word is monthly. Maya explains that the limit counts what you have already brought in that month: a Basic user who has transferred PHP 10,000 from a bank "can only receive 40K for the rest of this month on other Cash In transactions". Upgrading needs a video selfie, a valid ID, a verified address and verified personal information, per the same page. In the app the limits are under the profile menu, Account Limits; Maya's 7-Eleven cash-in page says monthly limits reset on the first day of the following month and daily limits the next day.
What this means at a casino cashier
None of the following is a test of any casino. It is what the wallets' own figures imply.
- A Basic GCash can take only PHP 5,000 a month in. A casino withdrawal of PHP 6,000 to an unverified GCash would be more than the profile's whole monthly incoming limit, and a smaller one may still not fit if you received other money that month. We do not know what each operator does with a payout the wallet refuses, so ask the operator first and verify the wallet before you play.
- A Basic Maya counts every peso coming in against PHP 50,000. Cash-ins from a bank, from 7-Eleven and a casino payout all come out of the same monthly room.
- Big wins rarely arrive in one transfer. Maya caps money received from banks by InstaPay at PHP 50,000 per transaction, the same per-transaction cap the BSP gives for InstaPay itself (bank transfer and InstaPay). An operator paying more may split it or use another rail, which takes longer (why withdrawals are pending).
- Use a wallet in your own name. Verification puts your name on the wallet. Casinos usually pay out only to an account matching the name on your casino account, and a mismatch is one of the common reasons a withdrawal stalls.
- A wallet limit is not a budget. The PHP 1,000,000 a verified GCash can now hold says nothing about what is safe to gamble. Set a deposit limit with the operator and use PAGCOR's self-exclusion if you need it (limits and help).
A draft BSP rule from July 2025 would put gambling transfers in a separate e-wallet account with its own daily cap. We could not confirm it is in force; see the OGTA draft explained.
Check your own limits before you play
- Update the app. GCash says the October 2026 limits need the latest version.
- Open the limits screen. GCash: Profile > Profile Limits. Maya: profile menu > Account Limits. Note what you have left this month.
- Verify or upgrade if you are on Basic (GCash: full verification; Maya: upgrade). Use only the official app; Maya says its officers will never ask for your password, one-time password or PIN, and no one else should either (fake GCash pages).
- Check the casino's address on PAGCOR's lists with our licence checker, then read the cashier for its own minimum, maximum and stated processing time.
- Keep screenshots of the cashier and every transfer reference (evidence checklist).
If you top up with cash at a store, the fees and limits for that are on 7-Eleven and over-the-counter cash-in.
What we could not confirm
- Whether any particular casino accepts GCash or Maya today, or how it handles a payout above your wallet's limit. We have not opened accounts or made withdrawals.
- Maya's page gives no date for its figures, so we cannot say when they last changed.
- The numbers above are the companies' published figures on 31 October 2026. Your app shows the limits that apply to you.
Frequently asked questions
What is the GCash limit for a fully verified account?
GCash's help page, updated for limits effective 1 October 2026, lists PHP 1,000,000 as the wallet limit for fully verified adults, with PHP 1,000,000 incoming and PHP 1,000,000 outgoing per month and PHP 500,000 outgoing per day. A Basic (not verified) profile is limited to PHP 10,000 in the wallet and PHP 5,000 incoming and outgoing per month. Check your own figures in the app under Profile > Profile Limits.
What is the Maya wallet limit?
Maya's Account Limits page lists a monthly wallet balance limit of PHP 50,000 for Basic accounts and PHP 100,000 for Upgraded accounts, with higher tiers (PHP 500,000 and PHP 5 million) for Super and Ultimate users. Money received from banks by InstaPay is capped at PHP 50,000 per transaction. Maya notes the monthly limit is subject to change.
Can a casino withdrawal go over my GCash limit?
Yes. A Basic GCash profile can receive PHP 5,000 a month in total, so a larger payout would exceed it. GCash says that when you reach a limit you cannot use certain services until it resets on the 1st of the next month or you upgrade. We have not tested what a casino does with a payout the wallet cannot take, so ask the operator before you request it.
Do the limits reset?
GCash says its monthly limits reset on the 1st day of the following month. Maya says monthly limits reset on the first day of the following month and daily limits reset the next day.
