Casino bonuses in the Philippines: how they work and what they cost
Bonus types, wagering worked through step by step, the rules that void bonuses, and what PAGCOR allows. We list a bonus only when it is verified on a PAGCOR-listed operator's own site, with terms and the date checked.
No verified offers yet. We have not confirmed any operator's current bonus on its own site, so this page lists no amounts. It explains how to judge any offer you see. Looking for "free 100"? See free 100 no-deposit bonuses: rules and scams.
Short answer. A casino bonus is credit you must bet a set number of times (the wagering requirement or "turnover") before you can withdraw it or what it wins. Because every bet carries a house edge, clearing a bonus costs money on average, often most of what the bonus is worth. Four other rules decide whether you can ever cash out: which games count, the maximum bet, the expiry and the maximum cash-out. PAGCOR caps rebates at 1.50% and cashback at 15% for licensed online operators, and every gambling ad needs PAGCOR approval.
Bonus types and what each one costs you
Every offer is a trade: the operator gives credit and asks for betting volume in return. The names differ, the questions do not.
| Type | What you get | The catch to look for |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit match (welcome or reload) | Extra credit on top of your deposit | Turnover may apply to deposit plus bonus; read whether anything can be withdrawn before it is cleared |
| No-deposit ("free 100") | Small bonus credit on sign-up | Turnover, a cap on what you can cash out and limited eligible games; also a common scam lure (free 100 explained) |
| Free spins | A set number of slot spins on named games | Winnings are often credited as bonus money with their own turnover and cash-out cap |
| Rebate | A small percentage of your bets or deposits back | PAGCOR caps cash rebates at 1.50% of turnover or deposits on slots, e-bingo, numeric games and sports betting |
| Cashback | A percentage of net losses back | PAGCOR caps cashback at 15% of net losses on electronic games; it is only paid after you have lost |
| Sports free bet or bonus | Bonus credit or a stake for sports betting | Terms may set minimum odds for a bet to count; see how to read decimal odds |
| Referral | Credit for inviting a friend | Usually turnover on both sides; see referral codes explained |
The rebate and cashback caps come from PAGCOR's 7 May 2026 memorandum. The memo does not describe how sign-up credits, deposit matches or free spins are treated, so those are governed by each operator's own terms.
How a wagering requirement works: one offer, worked through
The headline multiplier is only the first number. We follow one invented offer through every rule below. It is not any operator's offer; it is there to show the arithmetic.
Invented example: deposit ₱1,000, receive a 100% match of ₱1,000 bonus, 15x turnover, slots count 100% and table games 10%, maximum bet ₱50 while the bonus is active, 7 days to finish.
Step 1: what the multiplier applies to
"15x the bonus" means ₱1,000 × 15 = ₱15,000 in bets. "15x deposit + bonus" means ₱2,000 × 15 = ₱30,000. The same headline can hide twice the work, so find the exact wording. Our turnover calculator does this step: enter the bonus, the multiplier and your deposit, and tick the box if the terms apply the multiplier to both.
Step 2: order of funds
Many terms say your real balance is used first and the bonus balance after, and some lock the deposit until wagering is done. If a ₱1,000 deposit is locked with the bonus, it is not "your money" again until you finish ₱15,000 of bets or forfeit the bonus.
Step 3: maximum cash-out
Some offers, especially no-deposit ones, cap what you may withdraw from bonus winnings. A cap turns the offer's best case into a fixed number; write it down before you compare offers.
The next three rules (game weighting, maximum bet, expiry) are where most bonuses are lost, so each has its own section.
Game weighting: why baccarat barely counts
Terms often let slots count 100% toward turnover and table or live games a fraction, or nothing. The fraction divides into the requirement: bets needed = turnover ÷ contribution rate.
| How the game counts | Bets needed for ₱15,000 of turnover | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| 100% (often slots) | ₱15,000 | Each peso bet clears a peso |
| 10% (often table games) | ₱150,000 | Ten times the betting for the same bonus |
| 0% (excluded games) | Never clears | Bets on these games do not move the requirement at all |
A low house edge does not rescue a low weighting. Baccarat's Banker bet has a house edge of about 1.06% (how that is calculated), lower than a typical slot. At 10% weighting, though, each ₱1 of turnover needs ₱10 of Banker bets, so the expected cost per ₱1 cleared is about 10.6%. Quick rule: cost per peso cleared = house edge ÷ contribution rate. Some terms also bar betting both sides (for example Player and Banker together) to clear turnover; read the list of excluded bets.
Maximum bet while a bonus is active
Many terms cap each bet while a bonus is active. In the invented example the cap is ₱50, so clearing ₱15,000 takes at least 300 bets (₱15,000 ÷ ₱50). One ₱100 spin, even by mistake, can be enough under some terms to void the bonus and everything won with it.
- Set your stake below the cap before the first spin, and check it again after any feature or game change.
- Buy-feature and bonus-buy options can count as one large bet; check whether the terms exclude them.
- The cap usually applies until the turnover is complete or the bonus is forfeited, not just on day one.
Expiry: the hidden pace
Unfinished wagering usually forfeits the bonus at the deadline. Divide the turnover by the days you have: ₱15,000 in 7 days is about ₱2,143 of bets a day. If your planned budget is ₱300 a day, the offer is built for someone else, and accepting it pushes you to bet faster than you meant to. For free spins, check the deadline to use the spins and the separate deadline to wager what they win.
What clearing a bonus costs on average
Turnover tells you how much you must bet. It does not tell you what that betting is expected to cost. Over many bets a game keeps a share of every peso wagered (the house edge, which is 100% minus the game's return-to-player). Expected loss while clearing a bonus is therefore roughly turnover × house edge ÷ contribution rate.
| How you clear ₱15,000 of turnover | Bets needed | House edge | Expected loss | Bonus left on average |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Slot, 96% RTP, counts 100% | ₱15,000 | 4% | about ₱600 | about ₱400 |
| Slot, 94% RTP, counts 100% | ₱15,000 | 6% | about ₱900 | about ₱100 |
| Baccarat Banker, counts 10% | ₱150,000 | 1.06% | about ₱1,590 | minus ₱590 (worse than no bonus) |
These are averages over many bets; real sessions swing widely, and a losing streak can empty the balance long before the turnover is done. The figures ignore cash-out caps and expiry, which usually make an offer worth less. A smaller example with a ₱100 bonus is on the free 100 page. The RTP of a specific game version is shown in its info or paytable screen; see how slots and RTP work. JILI, for one, does not publish RTP figures on its game pages (JILI slots list).
Two practical conclusions follow. A bonus is not a way to make money, and a bigger multiplier with a lower-RTP game can turn an apparent gift into an expected cost. If the expected loss is close to the bonus, or you would need to deposit more than you planned to meet the terms, skip it.
KYC and withdrawals: finish the paperwork first
Bonus winnings are only useful if you can withdraw them, and withdrawals depend on identity checks:
- KYC comes first. PAGCOR told the Senate in February 2026 that registrants must submit initial KYC (name, contact details, a government-issued ID and a real-time selfie with the ID) before they can deposit (what licensed sites ask for). Operators may ask for more when you withdraw, such as proof that the payment account is yours.
- Names must match. The name on your casino account, your ID and your GCash, Maya or bank account should be the same person. A mismatch is a common reason a payout stalls (why a withdrawal is pending).
- One account per person. Promotion terms usually limit an offer to one per person, household, device or IP address. Opening a second account for another bonus can lose you both.
- Turnover must be complete. A withdrawal request while wagering is unfinished may be refused or may cancel the bonus; check before you request one.
- Wallet limits still apply. Your e-wallet's own incoming and monthly limits can hold up a large payout (GCash and Maya limits; how long withdrawals take).
How to read promotion terms: what to write down
Open the promotion's own terms page on the operator's site and note each of these, with the date. If a term is missing, ask support in writing before you accept.
| Term | Typical wording (invented) | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Wagering | "20x turnover on bonus + deposit" | The multiplier and what it multiplies; work out the peso amount |
| Game contribution | "Slots 100%, table games 10%, live casino 0%" | Whether the games you actually play count, and at what rate |
| Maximum bet | "Max ₱50 per spin while bonus is active" | Whether one larger bet voids the bonus and winnings |
| Expiry | "Complete within 7 days" | Whether you can meet it without betting more than your budget |
| Maximum cash-out | "Max withdrawal from bonus winnings ₱500" | The real ceiling on what the offer can pay you |
| Order of funds | "Real balance is used before bonus balance" | Whether your deposit is locked until wagering ends |
| Eligibility | "One per person, household, device or IP; KYC required" | That you qualify, and that KYC is finished before you withdraw |
| Changes and cancellation | "We may amend or withdraw this promotion" | Keep a screenshot of the terms you accepted, with the date |
Red flags: when to walk away from an offer
- The site is not on PAGCOR's lists. Check the exact address in our licence checker before reading any offer. A bonus on an unlisted site has no regulator behind it.
- Rebates or cashback above PAGCOR's caps (1.50% rebate on turnover or deposits, 15% cashback on net losses) on a site that claims a PAGCOR licence, or "unlimited" percentages with no stated base.
- A fee to unlock a bonus or release a withdrawal. That is a classic scam step (scam signs).
- The offer comes through a chat, text, APK or "agent", or asks you to send money to a personal GCash or Maya account (APK and scatter-link scams; fake GCash pages).
- Anyone asks for your OTP or MPIN. GCash says it never asks for them.
- No written terms, or terms only in an image or a chat message, or terms that differ from what the ad promised.
- Pressure: countdown timers, "today only" deposits, or support urging you to deposit more to "unlock" winnings.
- An influencer or livestream code as the only reason to trust the site (influencer promos).
- An ad without the required tagline and 21+ notice (see the rules below).
What PAGCOR and other regulators say about promotions and ads
- Rebate and cashback caps. PAGCOR's memorandum of 7 May 2026 caps cash rebates at 1.50% of turnover or deposits for slots, electronic bingo, numeric games and sports betting (not casino table or arcade-type games) and cashback at 15% of net losses on electronic games. Each programme needs PAGCOR approval first (EG Form No. 28), and rebates and cashback cannot be combined with other cash incentives to go over the cap (PAGCOR memorandum; our summary; the full list of conditions is on the free 100 page). The memo does not cover sign-up credits such as "free 100".
- Ads need approval. Under Ad Standards Council Circular 2025-010 (17 October 2025), every gambling ad must first get PAGCOR's Approval for Advertising and then ASC screening, and a PAGCOR memo of 28 July 2025 requires the tagline "Gambling can be addictive. Know when to stop." (ASC circular; our summary). PAGCOR said in February 2026 that prime-time gambling ads on TV and radio were already prohibited (AGBrief).
- Responsible gaming in ads. PAGCOR's Responsible Gaming Code of Practice requires a 21+ prohibition logo and messages not directed at minors (RG Code v6.0). A June 2026 memo ordered licensees to switch out-of-home responsible gaming ads to the 24/7 helpline, 02-8248-9568 (helpline ads order).
- Influencer promos. The CICC has referred influencers to the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group for promoting illegal online gambling (what happened and how to check a sponsored post).
- Pending bills. Senate Bill 2347 and House Bill 10982 would ban most gambling advertising. As far as we could confirm they are filed proposals, not law (status).
Who may claim a bonus at all
A bonus does not change who may play. PAGCOR's Responsible Gaming Code bars people under 21 and students, and lists other restricted persons, including some government officials, members of the AFP and PNP, and people on PAGCOR's restricted-persons database such as the self-excluded. News reports in April 2026 also described a Civil Service Commission resolution barring government personnel from all gambling. Details and sources: who can play. Whether bonus winnings are taxed is covered, with what we could and could not confirm, in our gambling tax guide.
Before you accept any bonus
- Confirm the operator is on PAGCOR's lists with the licence checker; it matches the exact address against the registered domains.
- Open the promotion on the operator's own site, never from a chat or APK link.
- Write down turnover, game contribution, maximum bet, expiry, maximum cash-out and the date you read the terms.
- Put the numbers in the turnover calculator, then divide by the days allowed. Compare the daily figure with your budget.
- Finish KYC before you play, with a payment account in your own name.
- Decide your deposit limit first, and do not raise it to chase a requirement. If you are tempted to deposit just to unlock a bonus, stop; see responsible gambling and self-exclusion and the helpline.
How we will list bonuses
A bonus appears here only after we read the terms on a PAGCOR-listed operator's own site and record the date. We will show the turnover, game contribution, maximum bet, maximum cash-out, expiry and the source link, and we will remove any bonus whose terms change. Until then, treat bonus claims on other sites with caution, since some of them break PAGCOR's rebate rules or are scams.

Frequently asked questions
How do wagering requirements work?
The multiplier tells you how much you must bet before bonus money, or winnings from it, can be withdrawn. 20x on a ₱100 bonus means ₱2,000 in bets. Then read whether the multiplier applies to the bonus only or to deposit plus bonus, which games count and by how much, the maximum bet while wagering, the expiry and any cap on what you can cash out.
Is a casino bonus free money?
No. Clearing a bonus means betting, and every bet carries the game's house edge. Expected loss while wagering is roughly turnover × house edge, which can be close to or larger than the bonus itself. Treat a bonus as a discount on entertainment you already planned, never as income.
What is the maximum rebate or cashback a PAGCOR-licensed casino may give?
PAGCOR's memorandum of 7 May 2026 caps cash rebates at 1.50% of turnover or deposits (slots, e-bingo, numeric games and sports betting, not casino table or arcade-type games) and cashback at 15% of net losses on electronic games, with each programme approved by PAGCOR first. An offer above these rates on a site claiming a PAGCOR licence is a warning sign.
Why does baccarat or roulette barely count toward my turnover?
Many operators let table games count only partly toward wagering, because their house edge is low. If baccarat counts 10%, ₱1,000 of bets clears only ₱100 of turnover, so clearing the bonus needs ten times the betting. The weighting is in the promotion's terms; read it before you play.
What happens if I bet more than the maximum bet while a bonus is active?
Under many promotion terms, a single bet above the stated maximum can void the bonus and the winnings made with it, even if it was a mistake. Check the maximum in the terms before your first bet, and set your stake below it.
Can I withdraw my deposit before I finish the wagering?
It depends on the operator's terms. Some keep deposit and bonus separate and let you withdraw the deposit by giving up the bonus; others lock both until wagering is done. If the terms do not say, ask support in writing before accepting the bonus.
Can I refuse a bonus?
Usually you can choose not to opt in, and some cashiers have a box to untick. If you only want to deposit and play with your own money, turning the bonus down avoids turnover, maximum-bet and cash-out limits. Check the cashier and the promotion terms before you pay.
Do I need to finish KYC before I can withdraw bonus winnings?
Yes, expect to. PAGCOR told the Senate in February 2026 that registrants must submit initial KYC (name, contact details, a government ID and a real-time selfie with it) before they can deposit, and operators may ask for more, such as proof that the payment account is yours, when you withdraw. A name that does not match your e-wallet is a common reason a payout stalls.
Are gambling ads and influencer bonus codes allowed?
Gambling ads must first get PAGCOR's Approval for Advertising and Ad Standards Council screening, and carry the tagline 'Gambling can be addictive. Know when to stop.' The CICC has referred influencers to police for promoting illegal gambling sites. A bonus code from an influencer or chat group proves nothing about the site; check the exact address on PAGCOR's lists.
Why don't you list bonus amounts?
We list a bonus only after reading its terms on a PAGCOR-listed operator's own site and recording the date. We have not verified any offer yet, so we show how to judge one instead of repeating amounts we cannot check.
