7-Eleven and over-the-counter cash-in for online casinos: how it works, the fees, and what to avoid

Paying cash at 7-Eleven or another counter loads your own GCash or Maya, not the casino. Fees and limits from GCash and Maya, and the barcode rule.

On this page (6 sections)

"Can I pay at 7-Eleven?" is one of the first questions from players without a bank account or card. The honest answer is that the counter loads your own e-wallet; it does not pay a casino. This page explains how over-the-counter (OTC) cash-in works for GCash and Maya, what each company says it costs, and the one rule that keeps your cash from going to someone else. You must be 21+ to gamble.

Short answer. At 7-Eleven and other partner stores you can cash in to your own GCash or Maya. Both say the first PHP 8,000 a month is free and 2% is charged above that, but their own pages also give other fee figures, so check the app before you pay. We found no PAGCOR-listed brand that names 7-Eleven as a deposit method, and whether GCash or Maya works at a casino's cashier is a separate question (what changed in 2025). Only ever pay a barcode you generated in your own app.

Cash, wallet, casino: three separate steps

  1. Cash to your wallet. You hand cash to a store cashier against a barcode or reference from your GCash or Maya app. This step is between you, the store and the wallet company.
  2. Wallet to casino. If the casino's cashier offers GCash or Maya, you pay from your wallet there. Since the BSP's August 2025 order, the wallets no longer show gambling links in their apps; the GCash and Maya page covers which PAGCOR-listed brands still mention them.
  3. Casino back to you. Withdrawals go back to an account in your name, and your wallet's limits apply to what it can receive (wallet limits).

The store is involved only in step 1. A store receipt proves you loaded your wallet; it is not proof of a casino deposit.

GCash over the counter

GCash's article How to cash in through over-the-counter (OTC) gives the steps: in the app tap Cash In, then Over-the-Counter, pick the cash-in type, choose a partner to see its steps, and save the receipt as proof. The same screen shows a note when you are close to the free limit.

Fees. GCash's Cash in fees article says OTC cash-in is free up to PHP 8,000 a month, with 2% charged on the amount above it, resetting on the 1st. Its own example: cash in PHP 7,000 on 1 May (free), then PHP 1,100 on 5 May, and you pay PHP 2 because only PHP 100 is over the limit. Two other lines on GCash's pages differ:

  • The list of OTC partners shows "7/11 (1% cash in fee)", and says some partners may charge cash-in fees and that Cebuana authorised agents' fees depend on the branch.
  • At a GCash Pera Outlet, GCash gives a suggested fee of 1% but says each outlet sets its own, with a PHP 100 minimum.

We cannot tell from GCash's pages which figure applies at the 7-Eleven counter today. Read the fee in the app or on the store's slip before you hand over cash.

Where. GCash lists cash-in machines (eTap, Pay&Go), convenience stores (7-Eleven, Alfamart, FamilyMart, PureMart, Shell SELECT, Uncle John's), pawnshops (including Cebuana authorised agents, M. Lhuillier and Palawan), payment centres (including Bayad Center and ECPay), supermarkets, department stores, drug stores (including Mercury Drug), LBC, Petron and Seaoil, sari-sari stores and GCash Pera Outlets. GCash also says you cannot cash in with a debit or credit card.

Maya at 7-Eleven

Maya's Cash In via 7-Eleven page gives the steps: in the app tap Cash In, choose 7-Eleven, enter the amount, show the generated barcode with your payment to the cashier, and wait for the SMS confirmation before you leave the store. Its limits are a minimum of PHP 100 and a maximum of PHP 50,000 per cash-in, and up to PHP 100,000 for a fully upgraded account.

Fees. The same page gives two versions, and we report both:

  • A note near the top says a 3% convenience fee is added on top of the cash-in amount, and that cash-ins below PHP 8,000 for the month still pay it but get a 2% rebate.
  • The FAQ further down says cash-in at select partners is free within PHP 8,000 a month and costs 2% after that. Its worked example: to add PHP 1,000 you pay PHP 1,020 at 7-Eleven, and the PHP 20 comes back to you as a refund if you are still under PHP 8,000 for the month. Maya's cash-in overview says such refunds should arrive within 1 to 3 business days.

Maya's page does not say which version is current. Check the amount on the screen and the slip.

If it does not arrive. For an OTC cash-in, Maya says to follow up with the branch where you paid and keep the receipt as proof.

GCash and Maya OTC side by side

GCash Maya
Free OTC cash-in each month Up to PHP 8,000 Up to PHP 8,000 (FAQ); a 3% fee with a 2% rebate below PHP 8,000 (note on the same page)
Fee above the free amount 2% (Cash in fees article); partner list shows 1% at 7/11 2%
Per cash-in at 7-Eleven Not stated on the pages we read PHP 100 minimum, PHP 50,000 maximum
Monthly cap Your profile's incoming limit: PHP 5,000 Basic, PHP 1,000,000 Fully Verified Your monthly wallet limit: PHP 50,000 Basic, PHP 100,000 Upgraded
Proof to keep Receipt Receipt and SMS confirmation

The free PHP 8,000 is per month, not per casino session. If you put PHP 10,000 into GCash over the counter in one month, by GCash's 2% rule PHP 2,000 is over the free amount and costs PHP 40 in fees. That money is gone before you place a bet.

The barcode rule, and other things to avoid

  • Pay only a barcode or reference you generated in your own app. In both wallets the code comes from the app of the account that receives the money. A code sent to you by an "agent", a chat group or a "casino support" account loads their wallet, not your casino balance. Real cashiers do not need a middleman (scam signs, fake GCash pages and QR scams).
  • Do not hand cash to a person who promises to "load" your casino account. Legitimate deposits are made by you, in the operator's own cashier, after KYC (KYC).
  • Do not borrow to top up. If you are paying cash at a counter to chase losses, stop and look at how to quit and get out of debt or call the free 24/7 helpline, 02-8248-9568.
  • Check the casino first. Confirm the exact address is on PAGCOR's lists with our licence checker.

What we could not confirm

  • Whether any PAGCOR-listed brand offers 7-Eleven or other over-the-counter payment in its own cashier. Our 28 October 2026 check of the brands' own pages found no mention, but it was not looking for them.
  • Which of the conflicting fee figures on GCash's and Maya's own pages applies at a 7-Eleven counter today. We have not cashed in at a store for this page.

Frequently asked questions

Can I deposit to an online casino at 7-Eleven?

Not directly, as far as we found. None of the PAGCOR-listed brand pages we could read on 28 October 2026 mentioned 7-Eleven or over-the-counter payment, but that check was not looking for them, so we do not say any brand accepts or refuses it. What you can do at 7-Eleven is cash in to your own GCash or Maya wallet; whether that wallet works at a casino's cashier is a separate question.

How much is the GCash cash-in fee at 7-Eleven?

GCash's help pages disagree. Its over-the-counter article says cash-ins are free up to PHP 8,000 a month with a 2% fee above that, while its list of partners shows '7/11 (1% cash in fee)'. Check the fee shown in the app or on the receipt before you pay.

How much is the Maya cash-in fee at 7-Eleven?

Maya's own 7-Eleven page gives two versions: a 3% fee added on top with a 2% rebate below PHP 8,000 a month, and a 2% fee that is refunded while you are under PHP 8,000 for the month. In Maya's worked example you pay PHP 1,020 at the counter to add PHP 1,000. Minimum PHP 100, maximum PHP 50,000 per cash-in.

Someone sent me a 7-Eleven barcode to top up my casino account. Is that okay?

No. In both GCash and Maya, the barcode or reference you pay at the counter is generated in the app of the wallet that gets the money. If someone else made it, your cash goes to their wallet. Generate the code in your own app and pay only the operator's own cashier.
